CEO of Innovative Journey
I’m 36 years old and have always been driven to be an entrepreneur. I’ve been involved in the hospitality all my working life and absolutely loved it, alongside my desire to travel the globe already having been to 5 continents and dozens of countries. I have a real interest in networking and building an online presence. I now own my own business and am growing an e-commerce business whilst I work for Reading Buses, a job that’s given me my work life balance back & has given me new skills to which I can thrive on.
I grew up in Blackpool in the North West of England and have a passion in everything I do. I went to school there until the age of 16 and then moved to Wokingham, Berkshire England before completing my National Diploma and shortly after becoming the No1 operational manager in the hospitality industry for a nationwide restaurant group in the UK. I love the industry and its challenges that have been thrown at me over the previous 16 years. It’s hard and fulfilling work, developing the highest standards of operational teams to deliver exceptional standards within the industry.
Over the last few years I have found that listening to those who have what I strive for has helped me mentally and it’s helped me understand what it actually takes to be able to live the lifestyle in 10 years.
So what have I done differently, you may ask. I have now taken a decision to properly invest in myself year after year. I regularly go to seminars and have seen Richard Branson and Tony Robbins live. Exceptional speakers who enabled me to think differently about paradigms and life in general which have helped me to think about my decision-making processes.
I enjoy connecting with likeminded people, seeing them on their journey and connecting with them on a social as well as a business level. They say you become the average of the five people you spend the most time with and I think now with social media, you are able to spend more time around the people who have similar goals.
